CURRICULUM VITAE
Born in Basel, Switzerland, 1942. Lives in Amsterdam, The Netherlands and in Bali, Indonesia



Trained in Basel as expert in colour retouch for book printing. Worked for Birkhauser, publisher of books of famous artists including Miro, Chagall, Cezanne, Klee, Kandinsky, Matisse, Leger, and Beckmann.
Attended courses in classic and modern art history by Prof. George Schmidt, director of the “Kunst Museum” in Basel, who laid the foundation of the international well known art collection of this museum.
Attended art courses at the “Kunst Gewerbe Schule” (Art School) in Basel.
Half year “Art Tour” through Spain, northern Africa, Egypt and Greek.
Settled in Amsterdam. Meeting with the well known Swiss graphic designer Mr. Peter Doebele in Amsterdam, who advised him to take courses at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie.
Directly admitted to the third year of the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam.
Followed third and fourth year for graphics and painting.
Important teacher: Henk Broer.
Directly admitted to the master classes for painting, fourth and fifth year, of Professor Otto de Kat at the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam.
Working since 1969, after finishing the art academies, up to now as a professional artist.
Admitted as art member of “Arti et Amicitiae” in Amsterdam.
Admitted as member of “Dutch Aquarellists Circle” and of “Stuwing”
Rijksgecommitteerde (second examiner) at Gerrit Rietveld Academie for painting and graphics.
Member of commission of advice for the collection of art for the Council of Amsterdam.
Professor (“Lector”) at Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam.
